Legislators in Hartford are considering proposals that could make our current health care system more vulnerable. Consumers, businesses, and our economy are at risk from these proposals whether they are buy-ins to Medicaid or the state employee medical or prescription drug plans or more traditional “public option” programs. They are a path toward single-payer health care that our state cannot afford.
Tell your elected officials TODAY that we must protect affordable and high-quality health care plans currently available and maintain Connecticut’s reputation as the Insurance Capital of the World. During the debate over the “public option,” elected officials should not put our state at risk by taking on perilous budgetary obligations.
